Creative Economy Initiative
The Creative Economy Initiative, led by J Ross (Beats Lyrics Leaders) with support of the Arts Council Placer County is a transformative program designed to drive economic growth, innovation, and cultural engagement in Placer County. This six-month pilot at the Roseville Venture Lab combines arts, entrepreneurship, and workforce development through dynamic activities like entrepreneurship camps, artsy marketplaces, and hackathons. By fostering creativity and connection, the initiative lays the foundation for a sustainable, county-wide program that enhances quality of life, preserves cultural heritage, and strengthens community and social capital.

Bring your smile, friends, and family to Downtown Roseville for this creative, immersive experience inspired by iconic holiday movies.
Town Halls and Panel Discussions
Town Halls and Panels "How can we turn our passion into meaningful action for our community?" Hosted the 2nd Monday of the Month 5:30-7:00, Networking starts at 5:00 pm. Bring in engaging activities to assist in networking and foster a collaborative experience between attendees. Bring in experts in the industry to approach controversial and innovative concepts in Economy, Entrepreneurship, Arts, and Advocacy. Host an in-depth conversation for 60 minutes around each topic.
Interactive projects, ideas, polling, or audience feedback to increase engagement will be hosted at the end of each event.
Entrepreneurship Academy Camps
Entrepreneurship Camp is two full-day workshop for rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders to introduce them to the basics of entrepreneurship in a fun, highly interactive, and creative environment. Through a series of hands-on activities, students will discover their agency, personal passion, and strengths and how that relates to various, key fundamental aspects of entrepreneurship.
